Introduction:
UV-234 is a high molecular weight ultraviolet (UV) absorber from the hydroxyphenyl benzotriazole group, which exhibits excellent light stability for various polymers during use.
Applications:
It is highly effective for polymers that are often processed at high temperatures, such as polycarbonate, polyesters, polyacetal, polyamide, polyphenylene sulfide, polyphenylene oxide, aromatic copolymers, polyurethane fibers, and thermoplastic polyurethane. It provides excellent protection against UVA degradation and is also used in polyvinyl chloride (PVC), styrene homo- and copolymers.
